Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018)After launching the first two installments in the Maze Tripe Runner in 2014 and 2015, respectively, the 20th Century Fox plans to provide additional time for the final production, Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) so the series ends with a bang. The film had been set for the premiere in February 2017, wishing to take advantage of a profitable president’s day weekend window. Unfortunately, the studio had to wait a little longer to release the film, due to the circumstances surrounding the condition of star Dylan O’Brien.

During the main photography in death cure, O’Brien was injured in an accident on a set, causing production being shut down when his injuries were more severe than initially thought. This development has made it unlikely that the death cure will be able to reach the theater on time, as the cast and crew had been sent home until an unknown date when O’Brien recovered. Now, it has been confirmed that the release of the next three sequels has been pushed back almost a full year, debuted in 2018.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) is currently scheduled to enter theaters on January 12, 2018. It is not known when production will continue, but Fox who completed the new release is a positive sign. If things go as they should, Death Cure will face Paramount Garden Ginoves Untitled Marvel movies from Fox (probably Dead pool 2) in its new framework.

It is somewhat surprising that Fox now has two different premium installments scheduled for the same day in January 2018. One believes that Fox will be interested in moving one of them, so they do not compete against themselves and perhaps maximize the benefits of both. If the project is pushed back, it will be interesting to see exactly where Fox is moving, as calendar 2018 is stacked with several notable films appearing each month. However, in September (when the first two maze runner films were released) are relatively free in 2018, so it may be logical for Fox to delay the death cure until the fall, as it is expected to find greater success.

The biggest concern, of course, is that O’Brien has completely recovered and returned to the set whenever he could. It is no secret that acting can be a dangerous job and always upsetting when you see an actor get injured during shooting. Thankfully, O’Brien’s case is not life-threatening, and he only takes extra time to make his recovery. Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) hits the theaters January 12, 2018.
